Our Surgery

Surgery is an important part of every veterinary practice, and we are no different in that regard. Our surgical suite offers two stainless steel operating tables, so two surgeons can work at one time if necessary. The area is well lit by sunlight through the clerestory windows, as well as overhead and task lighting.  X-ray viewers are easily viewed by surgeons during a procedure.

Each surgeon is assisted by at least one surgical nurse. Monitoring equipment keeps track of patients' heart rate, breathing, oxygen saturation and body temperature. We use the safest anesthetic gas on the market and waste gases are pumped out through our scavenging system for extra safety for patients and personnel. Our surgical instruments are scrubbed and sterilized after every procedure to prevent infection. Warming pads on the operating tables help to maintain patients' body temperature within a healthy range.
